Carla Olivo
Carla Olivo has been a professional writer/reporter for the past 25 years. She holds her B.A. in Radio, Television and Film from Temple University. She began her media career at KYW Newsradio in Philadelphia. After a two year stint in Atlantic City, NJ covering the beginnings of casino gaming in the Garden State and receiving national attention for her coverage of the Miss America Pageant, Carla made the switch to television. She met her husband, a United States Marine, while on assignment in Saudi Arabia covering Operation Desert Shield in 1990. In 1994, Carla moved to public relations and speech writing and eventually event planning. She is a past Programs Coordinator for the Marine Officer Spouses Club of Washington D.C. and still serves as a Zip Code Coordinator. She also serves on the Executive Board of the Belvoir Officer Wives Club as the Fundraising Chairperson. Currently, she enjoys staying at home raising her 14- year old daughter and 9-year old son.
