Jean comes to us with 15 years working for Onslow County (Jacksonville, NC) as a social worker and supervisor. She is now a part time reading tutor for Onslow County schools. She is married to John and is a mother to 3 grown children who all married into the military. The military holds a very special place in her heart. She spent 15 years working for Onslow County as a social worker and then supervisor. When she learned about our program, she says she was so taken aback by the importance and positive effects on children, that she knew she had to help out. She believes that the importance of children is paramount with her and this program underscores all that we hold dear; family, faith and our country. Currently, she is deeply involved in her church, volunteering weekly in a 4th grade class and helping in the family business and spending time with our fabulous grandchildren.
