Planning a Fundraiser

There are several creative ways to help fundraise for Operation Hug-A-Hero®. Help us put the “Fun” in Fundraising by participating in your area to help raise funds for our cause!

In the past we have had groups collecting pennies for our cause (4H’ers in Jacksonville, FL), customers donating a portion of sitting fees from photographers or planning an event to raise donations at local festivals.

We have also had a very creative follower of our Cause on Facebook decide to raise money for us by asking her friends to donate to our Cause in lieu of birthday gifts. You can join too by going to our Facebook Cause. What a great idea! Thank you for being the first, Mrs Jennifer Beiro! Mrs Sarah Nelson (a recipient of our dolls) is also doing the same for us!

Another wonderful idea is a young lady in North Carolina that is making handmade jewelry to sell and is donating proceeds to our cause.
We also have local cities sponsor events to Support our Troops like a 5K family fun run that donates proceeds to Operation Hug-A-Hero among a list of worthy causes.

At Operation Hug-A-Hero we truly believe that Fundraising can and should be a “Fun” event for everyone. We also know that there are many creative individuals that could contribute by sharing ideas with us on how we can achieve our goals of having “Fun” while bringing awareness to and about Operation Hug-A-Hero, so more families in need can benefit from our program.

If you or your organization would like to hold a fundraiser, please contact us and let us know your ideas ! Or If you want to contribute but don’t have an idea of your own, that’s okay too, we still have plenty of ideas to share with you. Help us Help them!

Together we can help you put on an event that will make you smile as well as bring a huge smile to one of our Little Heroes who is missing their Mom or Dad who is deployed or about to be apart from their family.
